Safety

The Corvette has standard front seat tall, head-protecting side-impact airbags, which act as a forgiving barrier between the passengers and the door. Combined with high-strength steel door beams this system increases protection from broadside collisions. The Tourbillon doesn't offer side-impact airbags or side airbag protection for the head.

The Corvette has standard Automatic Emergency Braking, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The Tourbillon doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The Corvette’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Corvette’s optional Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

Both the Corvette and the Tourbillon have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, rearview cameras and available blind spot warning systems.

Warranty

Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Corvette 1 year longer than Bugatti covers the Tourbillon. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the Tourbillon ends after only 4 years.

There are over 205 times as many Chevrolet dealers as there are Bugatti dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Corvette’s warranty.

Reliability

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Corvette second among compact premium sporty cars in their 2025 Initial Quality Study. The Tourbillon isn’t in the top three in its category.

Fuel Economy and Range

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Corvette 6.7 V8’s fuel efficiency. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

Tires and Wheels

The Corvette Z06/Grand Sport/ZR1’s 275/30R20 front and 345/25R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Tourbillon’s 35 series front and 30 series rear tires.

The Corvette has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Corvette can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

Chassis

The Chevrolet Corvette may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 400 to 1000 pounds less than the Bugatti Tourbillon.

The Corvette’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

The Corvette uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

Ergonomics

The Corvette has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The Corvette offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, tachometer, turn signal and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The Corvette’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

With standard voice command, the Corvette offers the driver hands free control of the radio and the navigation computer by simply speaking. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer a voice control system.

The Corvette is equipped with both FM and AM stereo radios, offering access too more content and better coverage than the Tourbillon, which solely provides FM radio. With AM radio, you can enjoy a wider variety of stations featuring news, talk shows, sports commentary, native language programing, automated traffic guidance, and emergency broadcasts. AM waves travel further and penetrate buildings and obstacles more effectively than FM signals, especially at night. Having both FM and AM stereo radios the Corvette offers a more comprehensive listening experience compared to only FM in the Tourbillon.

HD Radio boasts several benefits over conventional radio: superior sound quality with clearer and consistent FM broadcasts, CD-quality audio, and Multicast Channels offering up to four streams from a single station, adding programming choices. Cars like the Corvette equipped with available HD Radio provide an improved in-car entertainment experience. The Tourbillon, devoid of this technology, foregoes these benefits. Selecting the Chevrolet Corvette empowers drivers to enjoy a more immersive and enjoyable listening experience while on the go.

Model Availability

The Chevrolet Corvette comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Bugatti Tourbillon isn’t available as a convertible.

The Corvette is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Tourbillon doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
